The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of a Long Beach female for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) for an incident that occurred on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 3:33 pm in North Long Beach.
According to Detectives, officers observed a green 2026 Infiniti QX60 traveling southbound on Long Beach Road failing to maintain their lane. Officers activated their emergency lights and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop.
After an investigation was conducted, the Defendant Alisha Thomas, 36, of 128 E. Pine Street was found to be intoxicated. Officers attempted to place the defendant under arrest when she became violent and combative. Two officers sustained injuries during the course of the arrest. The defendant and the two injured officers were transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Defendant Alisha Thomas is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, two counts of Assault 2nd Degree, Harassment 2nd Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest and multiple VTL violations. She will be arraigned on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
