The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Serious Vehicular Accident that occurred on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 2:53 p.m. in Bethpage.
According to Detectives, a 14-year-old male was operating a E-Bike westbound on Sherman Avenue crossing Seventh Street when he was struck by 2014 Dodge operated by a 17-year-old female traveling southbound on Seventh Street. The E-Bike operator suffered severe body trauma and was airlifted by a Nassau County Aviation Helicopter to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition. The operator of the Dodge remained at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
