The Public Information Office reports the details of a Serious Vehicular Accident that occurred on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 2:28 PM in Westbury.
According to police, officers responded to Old Country Road in the vicinity of Salisbury Park Drive for an auto accident. A 26-year-old male was operating a 2016 Jeep when he attempted to make a left-hand turn into a parking lot and struck a 2007 Harley-Davidson being operated by a 44-year-old male, who was traveling eastbound on Old Country Road. The motorcyclist sustained a severe arm injury. Officers applied a tourniquet and transported the aided to a local area hospital. The operator of the Jeep remained at scene.
