The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of a Lindenhurst man for an Assault that occurred on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 2:08 p.m. in Seaford.
According to Detectives, Seventh Precinct Officers responded to a 911 call at Cedar Creek Park located at 3340 Merrick Road. Upon arrival, it was determined that during the course of a recreational softball game, two teams were involved in a dispute. The argument escalated and Defendant Brian Polanco, 32, of 595 Center Street struck a 34 year old male victim in the head with a metal bat. He was placed under arrest without incident. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Defendant Brian Polanco is charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Monday, June 1, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
