The Special Victims Squad reports the arrest of a Roslyn man for a sex offense that occurred on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 12:00 pm in New Hyde Park.
According to detectives, during a routine oncology appointment at Optum Hematology Oncology located at 2800 Marcus Avenue, defendant Dr. Mark Hoffman, 71, of 26 Sugar Maple Drive had unwanted sexual contact with a 48-year-old female. The defendant and the victim were alone in the exam room without the presence of a nurse. On Thursday, March 5, 2026 defendant Hoffman was placed under arrest without incident.
Defendant Hoffman is being charged with Sexual Abuse 2nd and Forcible Touching. He will be arraigned on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
