The Eighth Squad reports the arrest of a South Farmingdale man for an incident that occurred on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 10:35 pm in South Farmingdale.

According to detectives, Defendant Thomas Luckscheiter, 56, of 34 11^th Avenue, was operating a 2023 Dodge RAM at the intersection of Linden Avenue and Main Street.  While operating the vehicle in an aggressive manner, he activated flashing red and blue lights while using multiple different sirens.   As a result, Luckscheiter’s vehicle struck a 2009 Toyota Prius and then fled scene without identifying himself.  A short time later, Defendant Luckscheiter was located and placed under arrest without incident.

Defendant Thomas Luckscheiter is charged with Criminal Impersonation 1^st Degree, Leaving the Scene of an Incident and Reckless Endangerment 2^nd Degree.  He was released on an appearance ticket returnable on Monday, June 15, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
