The Electronics Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for Forgery that occurred on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 8:00 am in Valley Stream.
According to Detectives, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 11:39 am the Defendant Dwayne S. Campbell, 40, of 145-38 229th Street, Springfield Gardens did deposit a fraudulent US Treasury check at Capitol One Bank located at 750 West Sunrise Highway causing a loss in excess of $ 74,000 dollars.
On Monday, January 6, 2025 Defendant Campbell did surrender himself to detectives at the Eighth Precinct.
Defendant Dwayne S. Campbell is being charged with Grand Larceny 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree. He was arraigned on Monday, January 6, 2025 at First District Court in Hempstead.

After an extensive investigation, and in conjunction with the Nassau County District Attorney’s Major Financial Frauds Bureau, Detectives determined that the Defendant Laron McCravey, 40, of 302 Liberty Park Drive, Freeport acted in concert with the above listed defendant for the incident that occurred on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. Defendant Laron McCravey is charged with Grand Larceny 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street Hempstead.
