The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Westbury female for an Assault that occurred on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 10:20 AM in East Garden City.

According to Detectives, Defendant Angela D. McCallum, 49, of 6 Marilyn Lane entered Victoria’s Secret located at 630 Old Country Road where the defendant selected and concealed various merchandise inside a shopping bag and proceeded to pass all points of purchase without rendering payment before exiting the store. Upon officer’s arrival, the defendant was located in the parking lot where officers attempted to place her under arrest. During the course of the arrest, the defendant became violent and combative and attempted to remove an officers taser. One of the officers sustained an injury and was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment. The defendant was also transported to a nearby hospital. After a thorough investigation, it was determined that the defendant had a trespass ban from Victoria’s Secret and was not permitted in the store.

Defendant Angela McCallum is charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, Attempted Robbery 3rd Degree, Petit Larceny, Assault 2nd Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest. She will be arraigned on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
