The Arson Bomb Squad reports the details of a Fire that occurred on Sunday, April 5, 2026 at 5:26 pm in Valley Stream.

According to Detectives, officers responded to 409 Rockaway Avenue for a building fire. Upon arrival, officers observed a heavy smoke condition and flames emanating from the building. The Valley Stream Fire Department and neighboring fire departments responded to extinguish the flames. Four adjoining business units also suffered severe damage. The Nassau County Fire Marshal and the Arson Bomb Squad responded to the scene. The Red Cross was notified and responded to assisted with the displaced residents. No injuries were reported. 

The fire was deemed non-suspicious at this time.
