The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident that occurred on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 10:23 AM in Bethpage.
According to Detectives, a 41-year-old male was operating a 2024 Mazda eastbound on Stewart Avenue when his vehicle left the roadway, striking a utility pole and then the Bethpage Fire Department Station 4. The operator suffered severe trauma and was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced by a hospital physician. The victim has been identified as Michael Peattie, 41, of Sayville.
The investigation is on-going.
