The Sixth Squad reports on the arrest of two juveniles for an incident that occurred on August, 8 2026 at 12:00 AM in Great Neck.

According to Detectives, two male juveniles, ages 17 and 16, were operating a black Hyundai Tucson, traveling southbound on Middle Neck Road. While in the vehicle, they yelled bias insults at people walking on the sidewalk. The defendants fled the scene in their vehicle but returned several minutes later and yelled more bias insults at the same people and sprayed a liquid substance, believed to be water, from a water gun, striking them. This caused the victims to be in fear for their safety and they fled from the sidewalk to escape them. The defendants fled the scene again and officers responded to scene. No injuries were reported at scene. Following a thorough investigation, the two defendants were identified and placed under arrest on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Both juvenile defendants are charged with two counts of Menacing 3rd degree and two counts of Aggravated Harassment 2nd degree. Both defendants were issued appearance tickets returnable to Nassau County Family Court.
