The Third Squad reports the arrest of an East Garden City woman for an incident that occurred on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 8:44 PM in East Garden City.

According to detectives, officers responded to a disturbance at La Quinta Inn located at 821 Stewart Avenue. Upon arrival, it was determined that during the course of a physical altercation, Defendant Jacquelyn Chan, 33, of East Garden City sprayed an unknown substance into a crowd of people. As a result, four victims were exposed to the spray, suffered from irritation and transported to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment. The defendant was placed under arrest without incident.

Defendant Jacquelyn Chan is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree and three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Further investigation revealed the defendant had an active Nassau County warrant. She will be arraigned on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead
