The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Serious Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 10:26 a.m. in Long Beach.
According to Detectives, A 49-year-old male was operating a 2020 Chevy Silverado eastbound on East Chester Street when he made a right turn onto Pacific Boulevard and he struck a 77-year-old female pedestrian. The female pedestrian suffered serious body trauma and was transported by a Senior Care Ambulance to a local hospital where she is currently in critical condition. The driver remained at scene. The investigation is ongoing.
**UPDATE**
The above listed victim has succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased by a hospital physician. She has been identified as Mary Traynor, 77 of Long Beach.
