The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of a North Valley Stream female for an incident that occurred on Monday, April 27, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in Valley Stream.
According to Detectives, a 23-year-old female was seated in her parked 2013 black Dodge Dart located in the parking lot of 7 West Merrick Road when a 2020 gray Mazda CX5 collided with her. She exited the vehicle in attempt to exchange information when the unknown individual also exited the vehicle and began to walk away without making any attempt to exchange information. Upon Police investigation and a canvas of the area, officers approached defendant Tiffany Saint-Gilles, of 942 North Fletcher Avenue in regards to the accident. Defendant Saint-Gilles was extremely uncooperative, refusing to comply with the Officers verbal and physical commands by refusing to provide documentation, pulling her hands away to avoid being handcuffed and kicking her feet. Defendant Saint-Gilles was placed under arrest and transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. Two officers sustained injuries while at the hospital as defendant Saint-Gilles continued to be violent and combative while receiving treatment.
Defendant Saint-Gilles is being charged with two counts of Assault 2nd, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd, and multiple traffic infractions. She will be arraigned on Tuesday, March 28, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
