Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman and Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder will hold a press conference to introduce new Nassau County Police Department (NCPD) drones equipped with specialized flotation devices designed for deployment during water rescue emergencies, when seconds count.
These water rescue equipped drones are the newest addition to our recently launched Drone as First Responder (DFR) program. This new equipment will highlight one of the many capabilities our drones will provide to keep the residents and visitors of Nassau County safe.
NCPD personnel will provide members of the media with a live demonstration of the drones and their water rescue capabilities.
