The Public Information Office reports the details of a Water Emergency that occurred on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 10:26 pm in Bayville.
According to Police, a 911 call was received for a 64-year-old male suffering a medical emergency aboard a vessel on the Long Island Sound just north of Bayville. Nassau County Aviation, Nassau County Marine Bureau and TOB Bay Constables responded and located the vessel. The male was brought ashore and transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment by a Nassau County Police Ambulance. The vessel was towed to shore.
