The Third Squad reports the details of a Grand Larceny that occurred on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 8:18 p.m. in East Garden City.

According to Detectives, an unknown male subject entered Dicks Sporting Goods, located at 630 Old Country Road, and removed multiple clothing items from shelves and then exited the store without paying for the merchandise. The subject then re-entered the store with a hand truck and removed two boxes containing roller blades and a work out bench then left the store passing all points of purchase without rendering payment and fled in an unknown direction. The subject had black hair and a full beard. He was wearing a black jacket, black pants, black and orange shoes and a black hat. The investigation is ongoing.
