The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of an Elmont man for two separate Assault incidents that occurred in 2024 and 2025 in Elmont.
According to detectives, defendant, Jerald Lowe, 31, was involved in a domestic dispute with a 35-year-old (at the time of incident) female victim on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. The two parties were involved in a verbal argument when the defendant punched the victim in the left side of her face. The victim suffered from substantial pain, swelling and bruising.
On Friday, May 2, 2025 at 7:45 p.m., defendant, Jerald Lowe was operating an unregistered and uninsured black Toyota Solara southbound on Lincoln Street at a high rate of speed when he passed a stop sign without stopping and collided with a blue Jeep Grand Cherokee that was traveling eastbound on Rosalind Avenue. The collision caused the defendants Toyota to go on the sidewalk and a 58-year-old (at the time of incident) female pedestrian was struck from behind. The pedestrian sustained a spinal fracture as a result of the collision. The defendant got out of his car, gathered his belongings from the car and fled the scene on foot without contacting police.
On Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 5:50 a.m. defendant Jerald Lowe was arrested at his residence, 1465 Marshall Street. It was discovered during the investigation that he has an open warrant in the state of Georgia for Possession of a Firearm, Obstruction of Law Enforcement and Reckless Conduct.
The defendant is charged with Assault 2nd degree, Assault 3rd degree (Domestic Incident), Criminal Mischief 4th degree, Leaving the Scene of an Incident with Serious Injury, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Nassau County Superior Court, Mineola.
