The Public Information Office reports the arrest of a Brooklyn woman for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (Leandra’s Law) that occurred on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 10:32 p.m. in Oceanside.
According to Police, officers observed a 2015 Nissan on Long Beach Road in the vicinity of Tilrose Avenue failing to maintain lane and initiated a Vehicle and Traffic Law (VTL) stop. When officers approached the vehicle, a 7-year-old male was observed to be unrestrained in the backseat. The investigation at scene found the driver, Defendant Paula Gregg-Stanton, 34, of 3154 Emmons Avenue to be intoxicated. She was arrested without incident and the male juvenile was released to a family member.
Defendant Paula Gregg-Stanton is charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law Infractions. She will be arraigned on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
