The Public Information Office reports the arrest of two males during a Quality-of-Life Initiative that was conducted on Monday, July 6, 2026 in Roosevelt.
According to Police, Strategic Response Team (SRT) Officers conducted a license premise inspection at the following locations:
Good Food & Shake - located at 90 Nassau Road, Roosevelt. Officers located two (2) illegal electronic gambling machines, which were seized, and a total of $1,276. US currency was recovered. Defendant Erick Hernandez Martinez, 33, of 83 Washburn Avenue, Freeport is charged with Possession of Gambling Devices, Unlicensed Public Assembly, Disorderly Premise and operating without a valid New York State Liquor License. He was released on an Appearance Ticket returnable to First District Court on July 20, 2026.
Stop & Go Food Market - located at 135 Babylon Turnpike, Roosevelt. Officers located four (4) hidden illegal electronic gambling machines, which were seized, and a total of $390. US currency was recovered. Defendant Rafael Rodriguez, 63, of 527 Clarendon Road, Uniondale is charged with Possession of Gambling Devices, Unlicensed Public Assembly and Disorderly Premise. He was released on an Appearance Ticket returnable to First District Court on July 20, 2026.
