The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Serious Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at 10:05 pm in Freeport.
According to Detectives, a 44-year-old male pedestrian was crossing N. Main Street in the vicinity of Prince Avenue where he was struck by 2018 Buick Encore being operated by a 30-year-old male traveling northbound. The pedestrian sustained serious physical injuries and was transported to a local area hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition. The operator of the Buick Encore remained at scene.
The investigation is on-going.
