The Homicide Squad reports the details of an incident that occurred on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 2:12 PM in East Hills.
According to detectives, officers responded to the vicinity of Planting Field Road and Old Farm Road for a report of a male lying in the roadway. Subsequent to an investigation, it was determined that the victim was working as a landscaper when he fell off a work truck and sustained injuries. He was pronounced at the scene. The victim has been identified as Jose Hernandez Argueta, 35, of Mineola.
The investigation is ongoing.
