The Homicide Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for a Serious Vehicular Accident that occurred on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 5:59 pm in East Rockaway.
According to detectives, a female pedestrian, 66, was struck by a 2024 Chevrolet pickup truck at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Denton Avenue.
As a result of the accident, the female pedestrian suffered severe trauma and was transported to a local area hospital where she is listed in critical condition.
A subsequent investigation revealed that the driver of the pickup truck, Adrian Raghunanan, 26, of 13916 87th Avenue, was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition and was placed under arrest.
Defendant Adrian Raghunanan, is charged with Vehicular Assault 2nd Degree and Driving While Intoxicated. He will be arraigned on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
