The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of a Long Beach man for a Robbery that occurred on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 3:35 pm in Valley Stream. 

According to Detectives, Defendant Austin Harthman, 34, of 124 Pacific Boulevard entered Valero Gas Station located at 758 Franklin Avenue. The defendant began causing a disturbance and brandished a knife demanding a lighter. The victim, 25, in fear for his safety complied and the defendant exited the location without rendering payment. 

Upon police arrival, the defendant was located and placed under arrest without incident. Defendant Austin Harthman is charged with Robbery 1^st Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4^th Degree. He will be arraigned on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
