The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Jefferson, New York man for an incident that occurred on Sunday, May 10, 2026 at 10:15 a.m. in Westbury.

According to detectives, Travis Dubshinski, 39, of 1324 State Route 10 entered the Tesla Motors showroom, 1350 Corporate Drive, and demanded the staff return a hard drive filled with crypto currency back to him. The staff, who had never seen the defendant before, informed him that they could not help him. The defendant became irate and left the store. He then went to his car, a 2011 white Mazda, and retrieved an ice scraper. He used the ice scraper to cause $3,800.00 (U.S.) worth of damage to two Tesla vehicles in the lot of the dealership. He then fled the scene in his vehicle and was stopped a short time later by police at Corporate Drive and Merrick Avenue, where he was placed into custody without further incident.

Defendant Travis Dubshinski is charged with Criminal Mischief, 2^nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon, 4^th degree. He will be arraigned on Monday, May 11, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
