The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of a Massapequa man for an incident that occurred on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 10:38 PM in Massapequa.

According to detectives, officers responded to a Massapequa residence for a verbal dispute. Upon arrival, officers determined that one of the individuals involved in the dispute, unlawfully owned a firearm. The firearm was recovered and the Defendant Gregory Greene, 60, of Massapequa was placed under arrest without incident. The firearm was not used in the dispute.

Defendant Gregory Greene is charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, June 26, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
