The Second Squad reports the arrest of a Westbury man for an incident that occurred on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 8:11 PM in Jericho.

According to detectives, officers observed a grey 2006 Chevrolet Silverado traveling southbound on Roxbury Road in the vicinity of Jericho Turnpike and initiated a Vehicle Traffic Law stop. During the course of the investigation, the driver, defendant Edwin Zetina, 44, of 39 1^st Street became irate, combative and refused to exit his vehicle. When officers attempted to place the defendant under arrest, two officers sustained injuries during the course of the arrest as the defendant was violent and combative while resisting arrest. The injured officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Defendant Edwin Zetina is charged with two counts of Assault 2^nd Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2^nd Degree, Resisting Arrest and multiple VTL violations. He was arraigned on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
