The Electronics Squad Fraud and Forgery Section reports the arrest of a Florida man for a Grand Larceny that occurred on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in Mineola and was reported to police on Thursday, June 11, 2026.
According to Detectives, a then 38-year-old female signed and entered into a contract for home renovations with Next Generation Modular Homes & Additions Inc. located at 90 Gaza Boulevard in Farmingdale. The victim wrote a check to the company for $68,512 USC which was subsequently cashed. No home renovations were ever started nor completed at the victim’s residence. Numerous attempts to reach the company went unanswered. After a thorough investigation, the defendant, Brian Draizin, 65, of 7182 Le Chalet Boulevard, Boynton Beach surrendered at the third precinct and was arrested without incident. Further investigation revealed the defendant was operating as an unlicensed contractor in the County of Nassau.
Defendant Draizin is charged with Grand Larceny 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and Operating as an Unlicensed Contractor in the County of Nassau. The defendant will be arraigned on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
