Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives report the arrest of a Hempstead man during an overdose investigation on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 9:35 pm.

According to detectives, an investigation into a fatal overdose of a Nassau County resident, led to the arrest of Defendant Nathaniel J. Greene, 58, of 100 Terrace Avenue. Detectives placed the defendant under arrest without incident. Subsequent to the investigation, he was found to be in possession of a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine.

Defendant Greene is charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
