The Port Washington Police Department reports the arrest of a Port Washington man for Sexual Abuse that occurred on Monday, May 11, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. and Monday, May 18, 2026 at 5:15 p.m. in Port Washington.

According to Detectives, the Defendant, Taylor Lindberg, 18, of 61 Haven Avenue was a tutor at the Port Washington Library located at 1 Library Drive. On the above listed dates, the defendant did have unwanted sexual contact with a juvenile 7-year-old female victim while inside the library. On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, the Port Washington Police Department in conjunction with the Nassau County Police Department Special Victims Unit located the defendant and he was arrested without incident.

Defendant Lindberg is charged with three (3) counts of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was arraigned on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
