The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for a Burglary that occurred on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 10:40 pm in Williston Park.

According to detectives, an unknown male entered Dunkin Donuts located at 276 Hillside Avenue. An employee, making a delivery, advised the subject that the store was closed and that he needed to leave. The subject refused to leave, walked behind the counter and attempted to make himself a coffee. The male employee, 25, advised the subject to leave a second time. The subject became violent and struck the victim in his chest three (3) times causing him substantial pain before he fled eastbound on Willis Avenue. The victim refused medical treatment on scene.

A short time later, detectives located the subject on Mineola Boulevard and during the investigation he attempted to flee on foot. A violent struggle ensued and the subject refused to comply with the detective’s verbal commands. The subject swung his arms and continued to pull away. Senai Haywood, 25, of 108-23 173rd Street, was subdued and arrested. The subject was transported to a local hospital for assessment.

Defendant Haywood is being charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest. He was arraigned Friday, August 7, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
