First Squad Detectives report the arrest of a Hempstead man for Assault that occurred on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 10:50 pm in Baldwin.

According to detectives, Jocelain Guillaume, 40, was placed into custody for two (2) open Nassau County Bench Warrants.  While detectives transported Guillaume to the precinct, he made multiple threats towards them.

At the First Precinct, the defendant became combative, violent and a struggle ensued.  Prior to being subdued, an officer was struck in the face by the defendant and his necklace was broken.

Defendant Guillaume is charged with Assault 2^nd Degree and Criminal Mischief 4^th Degree.  He will be arraigned on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at First District Court, Hempstead.
