The Missing Persons Squad is investigating a Missing Adult that occurred on Sunday, April 5, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. in Elmont.
According to detectives, Janina Brooks, 56, was last seen leaving her residence at Mercy Medical Center on Elmont Road on foot. She is described as a female, dark complexion, 5’7” tall, approximately 300 pounds, with brown eyes and a long blue wig. She was last seen wearing a white jacket and dark pants. Her possible destination is unknown.
