Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman and Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder announce the “Cards for Cops” program sponsored by Beyond the Badge, N.Y.   

 Beyond the Badge, N.Y. is a not-for-profit organization that was created by two local law enforcement officers, as they felt the need to address the mental health crisis that the law enforcement community has faced. 

        At this event, hundreds of students will present over 1,000 self-made holiday cards to Nassau County Police Officers.  This gesture will promote positive community relationships and show support during this holiday season.  It renews the spirit for those working around the clock to keep our communities safe.
