The Second Squad reports on the arrest of two people for a Grand Larceny that occurred on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 6:31 PM in Syosset.
According to Detectives, two subjects in a black Chevrolet did exit their vehicle near the intersection of Richmond Street and Willis Avenue and removed a pole and the Flock camera attached to it before fleeing the scene. After a thorough investigation was conducted, the vehicle was located on 3rd Street in West Babylon and defendants Evren Daldal, 23 of 938 3rd Street, West Babylon and Dayton Schell, 22 of 93 Forest Drive, Ronkonkoma were placed under arrest without incident.
Defendants Evren Daldal and Dayton Schell are both charged with Grand Larceny 3rd, Criminal Mischief 2nd and Conspiracy 5th. They will be arraigned on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
