The Major Case Squad reports the arrest of three males for a residential burglary that occurred on April 11, 2026 at 10:30 p.m. in North valley Stream.
According to Detectives, a 42-year-old male victim left his Wyngate Drive East residence on April 10 for a family vacation. On April 12, the victim checked his surveillance cameras remotely and realized they were not working properly. He asked a family member to go to the residence to check on the cameras. The family member reported back to the victim that the side entrance door was broken and the framing of the door was ripped off. Additionally, the cameras had been repositioned and the lenses were covered with tape. When officers arrived, they discovered the internet wiring to the home had been cut and they located a signal jammer. Officers searched the interior of the home and found the bedroom closet to be ransacked, with damage to the flooring where a safe containing $460,000 (U.S. currency) and $500,000.00 worth of jewelry, had been affixed.
After a thorough investigation conducted by Major Case Squad and multiple other Nassau County Police Department units, the following three males were placed under arrest at their Suffolk County residences: Vincent Repka, 58, of 1524 Main Street, Port Jefferson, Nikitas Margiellos, 53, of 749 Outlook Avenue, West Babylon, and Leonard Repka, 63, of 515 High Street, Port Jefferson. All three defendants are charged with Burglary, 2nd degree. They will be arraigned on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
