The First Squad reports the arrest of an undomiciled man for an incident that occurred on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 4:30 PM in East Meadow.
According to Detectives, officers responded to a disturbance in the vicinity of the Meadowbrook Parkway and Front Street. Upon arrival, it was determined that three male victims, ages 17, 18 and 20, while riding their bikes were approached by the Defendant Ramzee A. Mayo, 47, who displayed a firearm placing them in fear for their lives. The victims immediately fled scene and called 911. The Defendant Mayo was located and placed under arrest without incident. The firearm was recovered at the scene.
Defendant Ramzee A. Mayo is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree and three counts of Menacing 2nd Degree. Further investigation revealed the defendant also had an active Nassau County warrant. He will be arraigned on Monday, May 18, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
