The Homicide Squad reports the details a Fatal Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 6:02 a.m. in Greenvale.
According to Detectives, a 69-year-old female pedestrian was crossing Glen Cove Road eastbound when she was struck by a red 2018 Dodge Challenger being operated by a 26-year-old male traveling northbound on Glen Cove Road. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced by hospital staff. The victim has been identified as Claudia Moncada of Glen Cove. The driver remained on scene. The investigation is ongoing.
