The Electronics Squad Fraud and Forgery Unit report the arrest of a Queens man for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument for incidents that occurred on Sunday, September 15, 2024 in North Bellmore.
According to detectives, Defendant Andrew Cambero, 25, of 3434 82nd Street, Jackson Heights entered 7-Eleven located at 2663 Jerusalem Avenue at 2:44 pm and 7-Eleven located at 2259 Jerusalem Avenue at 3:24 pm and used counterfeit currency to make multiple purchases within the stores before fleeing the scene. After an extensive investigation, the defendant was located and placed under arrest without incident on Sunday, December 7, 2025.
Defendant Andrew Cambero is charged with five (5) counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st Degree and two (2) counts of Petit Larceny. He will be arraigned on Monday, December 8, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
