The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for an incident that occurred on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 11:30 p.m. in North Lawrence.

According to Detectives, officers responded to 480 Rockaway Boulevard for a domestic disturbance. Officers were informed that a verbal argument occurred between the Defendant Wikash Sant, 38, and a female victim, 43. The argument escalated into a physical altercation resulting in the defendant striking the victim in the face with a closed fist, he then grabbed her around the neck and threatened her life before he forcibly removed her cell phone preventing her from calling 911. The victim was in fear for her life and fled the scene on foot. A short time later, Defendant Wikash Sant was located and taken into custody without incident.

Defendant Wikash Sant is charged with Robbery 2nd Degree, Assault 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief 4th Degree and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing. He will be arraigned on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Nassau County Court, 262 Old Country Road, Garden City.
