The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of a Seaford man for an incident that occurred on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 3:18 pm in Seaford.
According to Detectives, Bureau of Special Operations (BSO) officers observed a male operating an E-Bike westbound on the sidewalk of Merrick Road. Officers activated their emergency lights and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law Stop in the vicinity of Merrick Road and Seaford Avenue. During the investigation, the E-Bike operator Thomas Coyle, 47, of 3937 John Lane was found to be in possession of 70 glassine envelopes containing a white powdery substance believed to be Heroin and was placed under arrest without incident.
Defendant Thomas Coyle is charged with Reckless or Uncontrolled Operation of a Bicycle, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and a VTL Violation. He was arraigned on Friday, October 2, 2026 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
