The Second Squad reports the arrest of a Syosset man for an incident that occurred on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 11:27 pm in Syosset.

According to Detectives, officers responded to a residential home in Syosset for a Burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that the Defendant Jason He, 56, of 33 Loretta Drive did unlawfully enter a residence on Kathleen Drive East through an unlocked rear door. Once inside, the defendant became involved in a disturbance with a 57-year-old male victim and a 60-year-old female. The argument escalated into a physical altercation, during which the defendant struck the male victim in the chest with a chair. The defendant then fled scene in an unknown direction and the victim immediately called 911. After a thorough investigation, officers located the defendant and placed him under arrest without incident.

Defendant Jason He is charged with Burglary 1st Degree, Attempted Assault 2nd Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree, Harassment 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
