The Homicide Squad reports the details of an incident that occurred on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at 9:25 PM in Hempstead.
According to Detectives, officers responded to an aided case in front of 545 Fulton Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered an 18-year-old male that sustained puncture wounds to the torso. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced by a hospital physician. The investigation is ongoing.

The above listed victim has been identified as Michael David Grajeda Suazo, of Hempstead.

The Homicide Squad reports the arrest of Denis A. Gonzalez Sorto, 21, of 312 E. Columbia Street, Hempstead, Isaac Lopez Alvarez, 20, of 312 E. Columbia Street, Hempstead and a 17-year-old Adolescent Offender in connection with the above incident. They are all being charged with Murder 2nd Degree. They will be arraigned on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
