The Nassau County Police Department is advising residents in the vicinity of Garden City, Mineola, East Meadow, Uniondale, Hempstead and the surrounding areas, that due to the expected Presidential visit on Friday, August 14, 2026, motorist should anticipate intermittent road closures and increased traffic conditions. Motorist are encouraged to plan accordingly and allow for additional time for travel and to follow instructions from police personnel. We appreciate the public’s cooperation and patience.
