The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Homicide that occurred on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 10:50 p.m. in Hempstead.
According to Detectives, Officers responded for a shot spotter notification in the vicinity of Willow Avenue and Kennedy Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found three victims who sustained gunshot wounds. One female victim, 19, was pronounced at scene by a Northwell paramedic and two male victims both 20 years of age were transported to a nearby hospital where they are currently listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.

The above deceased female has been identified as Amira McCleod, 19 of Queens, New York.

The Homicide Squad Detectives report the arrest of Jacob Mcmillan, 18, of 1501 Wales Avenue, Baldwin in connection with the above incident. Defendant Mcmillan is being charged with Murder 2nd, attempted murder 2nd, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon 2nd and burglary 2nd. He is being arraigned on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
