The First Squad reports the details of a Residential Burglary that occurred on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 1:03 AM in Baldwin.
According to detectives, officers responded to a Wesley Street residence for a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers learned that a resident of the home heard their rear door open and then saw an unknown male suspect in their kitchen. The suspect grabbed a white tote bag containing various items from a table and fled out the rear door. The suspect was last seen running westbound on Wesley Street towards Grand Avenue.
The suspect is described as a male Black, approximately 6’2” tall with a thin build and wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants, black mask and dark gloves.
The investigation is ongoing.

***UPDATE***
Defendant Herman L Blunt, 61, undomiciled, has been arrested for the above incident. He is charged with Burglary 2nd degree and Criminal Trespass 3rd degree. He will be arraigned on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at First District Court.
