The Public Information Office reports the details of a Vehicular Accident that occurred on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 7:59 pm in Carle Place.
According to Police, a 31-year-old male was operating a 2025 Kenworth Gasoline Tanker traveling southbound on Glen Cove Road when he attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Old Country Road. During the turn, the Gasoline Tanker overturned, causing a fuel spill. The Nassau County Fire Marshall, Nassau County OEM, The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), Nassau County Emergency Service Unit (ESU), Motor Carrier, Westbury Fire Department and neighboring fire department all responded to the scene. The operator sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment.
