The Arson Bomb Squad reports the details of a residential fire that occurred on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 5:53 pm in Glen Head.
According to Detectives, Officers responded to a residence on Cedar Swamp Road. Upon arrival, police observed a fire in the home. All residents safely evacuated with no reported injuries. The fire did cause substantial structural damage. The Glenwood Fire Department and neighboring fire departments responded to extinguish the flames. The Nassau County Fire Marshall, the Arson Bomb Squad and the Town of Oyster Bay also responded. Further investigation revealed a gas explosion had occurred. The investigation is ongoing.
