The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Aided that occurred on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 10:14 PM in Garden City.
According to Detectives, Officers responded to Arrow Linen Supply Company Inc. located at 615 South Street for a male employee who fell into a trash compactor. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced by a hospital physician. The victim has been identified as Michael Rutledge, 42 of Baldwin. The Homicide Squad continues to investigate this incident in conjunction with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
