The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident that occurred on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 7:22 pm in Glen Cove.

According to detectives, a twenty-three-year-old male operating an e-scooter, while traveling west bound, collided with a 2023 Jeep Wrangler being operated by a 19-year-old female in the vicinity of Dosoris Way and Elliot Place.  The operator of the e-scooter, David Anthony De Jesus of Roslyn was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.  No other injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
